Halloween on the Hill: Have fun, make money!

So, a bunch of gay bar on the Hill is having a costume contest. Here's your chance to earn some money for your creative costuming ideas! The list, in alphabetical order for you're ghoulish enjoyment:

Bottleneck Lounge Hillside Harvest Fest No cover, season beer specials, Halloween festivities through the night

Crescent Lounge Hallow-swing! Karaoke, swing dancing, and drink specials (no cover)

Cuff Halloween Party w/ guest DJ Kimberely S. - contest at midnight, $1000 first place (cover)

Havana Halloween Party Featuring: TRUCKASAURAS, Introcut, Sean Cee, TigerBeat, Turk, KliK, XBen, Nicki Danger and Limpwrist. ($10 pre sale tickets at brownpapertickets.com)

Julia's on Broadway Sinister Halloween Party Starts at 9 p.m. - Grand prize: 2 tickets on Virgin America Airlines ($10 cover)

Madison Pub Under the Sea Costume judging @ 8, awards at 10 - $300 first prize (no cover)

Neighbors Psych Ward 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. - cash prizes and contests (cover)

Purr Annual Halloween Party Contest at midnight, $1000 first prize (no cover)

R Place Sister Dawnna's Nightmare contest at midnight, $1000 first place ($10 cover, goes to the Sisters)

ReBar presents Sylvia O'Stayformore MEN! UNDERWEAR! HOT! Oh yah, and a costume contest too (cover)

And for those of you who want to get started early, get your tickets to Bump! It's a huge, crazy party that benefits Gay City Health. This year, the party is at Showbox at the Market on Friday, 10/30. There's also a wicked after-party... Grind @ Chapel. Shuttles to and from the Hill every 20 minutes. Check out their site for tickets and more information.

There's also COMEBACK at Chop Suey on Friday 10/30. It's $7 to get in if you're wearing a costume and there is a costume contest at midnight!

We don't have any word on what's happening at Pony, The Eagle, Elite, Wildrose, or Chapel, but we'll update you on that later today or Monday.

Purr
Did anyone see that great costume from "Where the Wild Things Are" at Purr? It was like literally twelve feet tall and seven feet wide. It's head bumped the ceiling lights, in Purr of all places. Did not stick around to see it won the $1000 costume contest.
